Image
Chidubem offorjindu The Igbo community in Lagos today organized the Ilo mmuo feast ( Leviticus 10: 14 and 15) . The well attended ceremony provided the Igbo community in Lagos opportunity to seek CHI UKWU's support in solving Igbo existential problems, seek Igbo unity and to share gifts with one another.  In a message sent to the occasion, the chief Nz'rabbi of Igbo house of Israel obi and the worldwide spiritual leader of the omenana restoration movement, Nz'rabbi Remy Ilona urged Igbo every where to support Igbo house of Israel obi every to continue to organize the event. He said that once the Igbo get religion right, every other thing will fall in place. In a good will message by Ada Igbo gburugburu, Doris Chinwendu from her base in Europe, she commended the Igbo community in Lagos and the Igbo house of Israel obi Lagos for organizing the event. She urged them to continue to seek love, unity and progress of the Igbo. She also urged them to support Igbo women...

Lessons from first worlds to the Igbo: How love of self powers development

Image
By  Okechukwu Ononaeke The Igbo today is self- hating, fueled by foreign religions among the Igbo. He hates his/ her ancestors( his own grand mother and father that made his birth possible). Rather, he prefers to venerate other peoples ancestors. S/he prefers to answer meaningless foreign names rather than Igbo names that are rich in meaning. S/he is not bothered that some of the names s/he answers are names of pets and therefore unfitting for humans.S/he refuses to speak his/ language and refuses to teach his own children, the language of the Most High, Igbo. Igbo refusal to teach his/ her children, Igbo lan guage is even prevalent among Igbo with very poor understanding of the English language. Such people have only very few words in their English language vocabulary but insist on speaking only English to their kids thus imperiling the child's intellectual development.  The Igbo also hates his own religion, omenala. He is at home with foreign religions designed t...

IGBO NEWS INAUGURATES BOARD OF ECONOMISTS

Image
IGBO NEWS, the pace-setting Igbo newspaper dedicated to Igbo news from the omenala perspective has inaugurated its board of economists charged with the responsibility of analysing all Igbo news items from the economic perspective. Their economic analysis will be driven from a deep knowledge of Omenala economics.  All members of the IGBO NEWS board of economists have received advanced education in omenala economics and will avail IGBO NEWS and its readers of their wealth of knowledge in omenala economics. The board has already completed its first assignment, a detailed analysis of the economic implications on Ala Igbo of the Igbo returning to CHI UKWU's statutes and ordinances on Igbo burials and funeral rites. The report will be published on Monday by IGBO NEWS.

IGBO BURIAL/ FUNERAL RITES: HOW IGBO STICKING TO CHI UKWU's LAWS WILL REDUCE IGBO BURIAL COSTS BY MORE THAN 90%

BY IGBO NEWS TEAM It is a well known fact that Igbo burials is now of the things impoverishing Igbo families as they stick to idolatrous practices, doing things that provoke the wrath of CHI UKWU on the family and the Igbo. Some Igbo families sell their ancestral family lands and other assets to fund idolatrous Igbo burials. Such Money  is wasted in funding non- Igbo economies and impoverishing the Igbo. With the publication of what to do to comply with CHI UKWU's laws on burial/funeral rites by the IGBO NEWS investigative team yesterday, you do not need to sell your ancestral lands and other assets to bury your loved ones. Application of CHI UKWU's laws on Igbo burial/ funeral rites is guaranteed to reduce Igbo burial/funeral rites by more than 90% according to IGBO NEWS Economic team. Such savings according to our economic team will come from the following: 1. Burying immediately. 2. No more mortuary fees/ other mummification fees. 3. No more ambulances 4. No more caskets 5. ...

IGBO FUNERAL RITES- What to use.

BY IGBO NEWS TEAM Igbo funeral rites are sacred events for the Igbo. They are not secular events. They are part of the formalities for the admission of the dead Igbo if s/ he died at mature age into the ancestral spirit world of the umunna from where s/ he protects his or her descendants, serve as patron saints ( intercessors) for problems of his or her descendants and reincarnate to continue living because the Igbo do not die but keep reincarnating to keep living. How you as Igbo conducts the funeral rites of your loved ones will determine whether the family gets value from the burial. This is important because Igbo ancestors of the umunna actually attend such burials to certify such rites and facilitate the admission of such Igbo into the Igbo ancestral spirit world. So the Igbo funeral rites is not an opportunity to showcase wealth or love of foreign ( non- Igbo) things. You  could actually spend so much money to hinder your loved old ones from joining the Igbo ancestral spirit ...

DEATH AND BURIAL RITES AMONG THE IGBO THAT COMPLY WITH CHI UKWU's LAWS

By IGBO NEWS TEAM The Igbo hold life as sacrosanct and of the highest value. Death of loved ones, even at 150 years of age is met with outbursts of unconsolable tears and weeping by  close relatives and descendants. The Igbo do not celebrate death but mourn it with every ounce of energy in them because they have lost a physical part of them for ever. The Mournings, tears and weepings are accompanied by immediate dispatch of official information of the death of the loved  one to all relations and all ancestral linkages of the deceased: ikwunne ( umunne), ndi ogo, umunna, ndi enyi etc. A traditional ekwe is sounded to inform the entire umunna that a member has gone to join the ancestors. Umuada( Umuokpu) stays for a few days to comfort the family. Other members of the clan bring food/ cash and other items to show sympathy/ solidarity and share costs with the bereaved family. Issues around Igbo burial rites include 1. When to bury and Why 2. Where to bury and Why3. With what to b...

LESSONS FROM THE FIRST WORLD TO THE IGBO: Only indigenous religion guarantees development.

Image
By Okechukwu Ononaeke The Igbo have a lesson to learn from the first worlds. First, what are first worlds? They are countries with best living standards and living indices. They also have the least( mostly zero- hugging) emigration rates: who will want to leave a country where life is sweet? Examples of first worlds include: USA, Britain, Japan, Israel, Germany, France, Italy, The Scandinavian countries etc.  China and India are almost there but not yet . That is a story for another day. The first world is where the Igbo have a lot to learn from.  One such lesson that the Igbo must learn from the first world is that only indigenous religion guarantees development. Foreign religions even from your best friend ruins every nation: it underdevelops and destroys all victim nations. Let's go fact digging. Britain is powered and developed by Anglicanism( Christianity comprehensively domesticated to serve only British interests). USA is powered by American Pentecostalism( Chris...

IGBO FAMILY DIVISION OF LAND PARALLELS HEBREW BIBLE DESCRIPTION OF ISRAELITES LAND DIVISION- G. T BASDEN'WHITE'BRITISH COLONIALIST

Image
By Remy Ilona 'Each piece of land has been divided, and subdivided...land boundaries are respected, and tampering with landmarks are viewed as very bad, and result in great land cases.',G.T.Basden. I prefer to talk about what every Igbo knows about  through the mouth of a non Igbo who saw, spoke nearly a century ago.  Only 6 years ago, ana Udoji (Eze Anya Ezughu) was divided by us-his great grandchildren. You want to really understand what you read in our Holy Hebrew Bible about the Israelite division of land, join an Igbo family as they divide their land.  And every inch of land in Igboland  is owned. Go to your Tanach and check for parallels.

HOW HIGH IGBO EMIGRATION OUT OF ALA IGBO SHOWS UNCOMPETITIVENESS

Image
By Okechukwu Ononaeke It is a well known fact that a disproportionate percentage of Igbo reside outside Ala Igbo. Some Igbo are even proud of it. Some say: 'we are every where', 'we make the world 'tick''.  Is it really a good thing to have a disproportionate percentage of Igbo outside Ala Igbo? What are the lessons from the first worlds?  First, what is the percentage of Igbo outside Ala Igbo and how does it compare with first worlds? The population of Igbo ranges from 50-100 million ( including those with traceable Igbo ancestry ) depending on whom you are talking to. Out of this number, 30-70 million ( including those with traceable Igbo ancestry) again depending on whom you are talking to reside outside Ala Igbo, a disproportionate 60-70%.  What are the comparative figures from the first words? America with a population of 300 million people have only 300,000( a percentage of 0.1%) of it's citizens living outside the USA. Japan, a country of ...

THE IGBO IS NEITHER'BLACK' NOR 'WHITE'. THE IGBO IS IGBO

Image
By Okechukwu Ononaeke The Igbo is neither'black' nor 'white'. The Igbo is also not 'African'. The Igbo is Igbo. First and foremost, the Igbo has no problems with any one who identifies as ' black','white'or 'african'. What the Igbo has problems with is identifying the Igbo as ' black' 'white'or ' African'. The Igbo is color blind. The Igbo has people of various colors: ' black', 'white' etc. The Igbo is Hebrew and Israelite. The correct identities of the Igbo are therefore: Igbo, Hebrew and Israelites.  The Igbo is ready to work with the rest of humanity to improve the world on the basis of equality, mutuality and value.

IN OMENANA, IT IS ODOZIAKU, NOT ORIAKU

Image
By Remy Ilona If you heard ori-aku( enjoyer of wealth), I hope you also heard odozi-aku( protector/ builder of wealth). Our culture Omenana was far too advanced to make our women ' housewives', i.e., just ori-aku, that irresponsible men can abuse, and starve of money. If you didn't hear about odozi-aku you heard about 'nwanyi Nnewi', i.e, the bike, that our women used to ride to Nkwo Nnewi, to do their businesses. If ori-aku isn't just a jocular title, it's of foreign origins. I don't know when an Igbo woman willingly chose to be idle. Men, our fathers encouraged our mothers to grow rich. Let's emulate them!

HOW OMENANA ENSURES DIGNITY FOR THE IGBO WOMAN

Image
..By Remy Ilona and Okechukwu Ononaeke  Omenana ensures dignity for the Igbo woman by ensuring that she has freedom for wealth acquisition and the other freedoms associated with wealth acquisition in conformity with CHI UKWU's laws, statutes ordinances and commandments. Igbo women under Omenana also run their own affairs unencumbered by the Igbo male folk. In Omenana, a new wife is shown her husband's own share of ancestral lands the very next day after the marriage. She becomes co-manager. Di we te Ji, Nwunye e we te ede... The phrase in Igbo means...the man contributes, and his wife contributes....thus, the Igbo woman is empowered by omenana to create and sustain her own wealth. This underlies Igbo belief that Igbo marriage is partnership to love one another, procreate, sustain the Igbo civilization and create sustainable wealth.  Society under Omenana was organized to enhance freedom of everyone. If you "keep" your wife, you can "enslave" her....

HOW HEBREW BIBLE CONFIRMS THE IGBO AS HEBREWS/ ISRAELITES

Image
By Remy Ilona As Igbo return to CHI UKWU and his omenala, the Igbo are reclaiming their hebraic and Israelite origin. What is there to prove that the Igbo are Hebrews and Israelites? The document is there before humanity and every one: the Hebrew Bible, Tanak/ Torah. Every thing that is in the Hebrew Bible is exactly the culture of the Igbo, today, tomorrow and forever. IGBO NEWS will serially analyse each of the culture in Hebrew Bible and show you that it is the culture of no one else but the Igbo ( Hebrews, Israelites).  Today we look at the Igbo attitude to death and what Abraham did when Sarah his wife and eternal matriach of the Igbo ( Hebrew/ Israelites) died. When a person doubts that Igbos are the Hebrews the person sets himself up for ridicule. Look at Genesis. What Abraham did when Sarah died was 'mourn.' You think every civilization mourns? No! Some civilizations celebrate life. You don't know this. I know it. I know cultures & you don't.

HOW IGBO ATTITUDE TO DEATH SHOWS IGBO VALUE OF LIFE

Image
By Remy Ilona and Okechukwu Ononaeke Igbo civilization places very high value on life. We say ndu ka (life is supremely important), & bear it as a name. Igbos didn't know how to tolerate death. No stiff upper lip. During funerals Igbos mourn. The Igbo term for funeral is 'to mourn.' So what do the Igbo do when a close relative dies, even at the age of 150 years dies? Igbo mourn because a part of the Igbo is physically gone for ever. The celebration of death is foreign to the Igbo. Igbo do not use the death of their close relative: mother, father, siblings, uncles, aunts , cousins to exhibit wealth or to flaunt ill-gotten wealth. Igbo do not buy or wear new clothes or other materialistic exhibitionism . Rather such occasions are solemn. Some Igbo cut cherished trees or fruits as symbolisms to show the loss of a treasure.   This civilization if preserved, protected and promoted has healing for Igbos & for mankind that has learned to place very little value...

ALA IGBO'S TINY LAND AND OMENALA'S WIN/ WIN POSITION ON THE LAND/INDIGENESHIP QUESTION.

Image
By Remy Ilona, Francis Duru and Okechukwu Ononaeke. There is no doubt that the Igbo has the least land, compared to our neighbors. However, the Igbo does not and will never covet the land of our neighbors. The Igbo regards anywhere outside Ala Igbo as foreign to him/her . The Igbo could buy land and build houses in his land of sojourn outside Ala Igbo, but he is conscious of the fact that s/he is in a strange land. Why? This is because omenala, the Igbo supreme law and religion has a sacred attachment to Ala Igbo, the land of the Igbo. The Igbo regards Ala Igbo as a holy land along with Israel. The Igbo believes that Ala Igbo is CHI UKWU's sacred gift to him/ her and is tied to his religion, the religion of the Most High, Omenala. The Igbo for instance believes that to be buried outside Ala Igbo is sacrilege and that Igbo marriage conducted outside Ala Igbo is invalid among others.  The same Igbo attitude to the land question also underscores Igbo attitude to citizenshi...

OMENALA TO TRANSFORM ALA IGBO TO A FIRST WORLD.

Image
By Okechukwu Ononaeke With Igbo return to CHI UKWU and his Omenala, Ala Igbo is expected to become a first world in a generation, the omenala restoration movement has assured the Igbo. Omenala comes  complete with easily actionable templates that will empower the Igbo to quit the back waters of the world and take its rightful place in the world. With Igbo return to CHI UKWU and his Omenala, Ala Igbo will become Africa's no 1 economy and a top twenty economy by GDP. Ala Igbo GDP per capita will be no 1 in Africa and a global top 10  in the world in a generation. Omenala will also reverse migration out of Ala Igbo and trend it back to zero- hugging levels which is the rate in all first worlds. Omenala will also empower Ala Igbo to generate migration into Ala Igbo of global talents from all all over the world to join the task of creating and sustaining CHI UKWU's paradise on earth completely on Igbo terms. The omenala restoration movement has already operationalized a...

IGBO RETAIN SATURDAY AS IGBO HOLY (REST) DAY

Image
BY OKECHUKWU ONONAEKE As the Igbo return to CHI UKWU and his Omenala, the Igbo have retained Saturday as the Igbo Holy day ( Rest day).  Why are the Igbo retaining Saturday as the Igbo holy day ( rest day) ? The Igbo is doing so for two reasons: it tallies with the holy day of its true identity- Israelites. The Igbo are Israelites and all Israelites keep the Saturday as their holy day ( Sabbath). Sabbath observance is central to the commandments, statutes and ordinances of CHI UKWU to the Igbo and all Israelites ( Igbo and Jews). Various people of the world keep various holy days. Non Israelites apart from Arabs and the arabized keep Sundays as their holy days while Arabs and the arabized keep Fridays as their holy day. For the Igbo, the holy day is Saturday. Secondly, the Igbo have always kept a holy day to honor CHI UKWU. Such holy days were observed as Eke Ukwu or orie ukwu depending on the Igbo republic. Retaining Saturday as the Igbo holiday is therefore in tandem ...

Books to read to understand the Igbo

Image
BY OKECHUKWU ONONAEKE it is good to read Western philosophers and thinkers: Adam Smith, John Locke, Malthus, Gramsci, Keynes, Karl Marx etc. Reading them and thousands of other Western philosophers and writers will make you understand European and similar societies better. They also provide perspectives and solutions to problems confronting such societies. But they are useless  in understanding the Igbo and Ala Igbo ( Igbo society). A sample: Western philosophies and writings are suffused with the following terms : King, Queen, Prince, Princess, King makers, palace, palace courtiers, class struggle, ruling class and the ruled, the masses, privileged class and underprivileged, peasants and the land owning class, the underclass, the working class, the opposition, power wielders etc. These terms and phrases describe European and similar societies but definitely do not apply to the Igbo society. Why are Wpestern philosophies and writings inappropriate to understanding the I...

IGBO RETURN TO KEEPING THE SABBATH

Image
BY OKECHUKWU ONONAEKE As the Igbo return to CHI UKWU and his Omenala, the Igbo are now increasingly keeping the Sabbath day holy. More Igbo are now observing Saturday as the Igbo holy day. Over five million Igbo in various Sabbath oriented denominations: Omenala, Sabbatharian movement, messiahnic Judaism, rabbinic Judaism now worship on Saturdays and observe the Sabbath. They are also increasingly using the Hebrew Bible ( Tanakh/ Torah) as the Igbo holy book with most Igbo congregating in obi( synagogues) on Saturdays to worship the Igbo sovereign monarch, CHI UKWU. Sunday is for the Igbo increasingly becoming the first day of the week and a day that witnesses full business activities. More Igbo are expected to return to the religion of the Igbo, Omenala. Igbo return to CHI UKWU is expected to ensure Igbo compliance with the statutes, laws, ordinances and commandments of CHI UKWU, enthrone a safe and prosperous society for every Igbo and lead to Ala Igbo as a first world in...

WHAT IGBO DO AT THE OBI

Image
BY FRANCIS DURU  When we say we are going to the synagogue/Obi on Saturdays as part of our Shabbat observance, what do some people think? Many act ually think that we are WEIRD people who as soon as we walk into the synagogue begin to do the following: 1. Change into RED or WHITE skirt 2. Apply some whitish stuff around our eyes 3. Grab life chicken and begin to wave the hapless birds in the air 4. Chant strange incantations in a weird language. Etc. NOTHING is further from the TRUTH. In reality we spend our time PRAISING and THANKING Elohim/Chi-Ukwu for ALL he has done for us throughout all the epochs in our history. We read Torah, discuss/elucidate it, we pray. In the solemn atmosphere sometimes you feel that Chi-Ukwu has descended into your midst. Hairs on my skin literally stand when the Priestly blessings are being pronounced and when we sing Yishtabach or Aleinu. Then we Bless and drink wine, break and eat bread and then enjoy a sumptuous shabbat meal in a family ...

IGBO UPSCALE NEW MOON ( ONWA OHURU) OBSERVANCE

Image
BY FRANCIS DURU AND OKECHUKWU ONONAEKE As Igbo massively return to CHI UKWU and his Omenala, the Igbo have upscaled New Moon ( Onwa Ohuru) observance. The Igbo have always operated the lunar calendar and have always observed new moon every month in every umunna led by the chief priest of the umunna and the ndi okenye( the elders) of the umunna. You can read details in Things fall Apart and Arrow of God by the Igbo sage, Chinua Achebe. They use such festivals to welcome the new moon and thank the sovereign monarch of the Igbo, CHI UKWU for all the blessings in the land and seek his continued blessings for the Igbo. More and more obi( CHI UKWU's sanctuary) are being reactivated all over Ala Igbo to worship CHI UKWU, study his Omenala and Igbo cosmology and regularly observe the new moon in every Igbo community so as to continue to receive the blessings of CHI UKWU. IGBO NEWS will continue to bring you regular information about the new moon every month and how to observe i...

THE IGBO AND LAND: LIKE NO OTHER

Image
BY REMY ILONA Atiku Abubakar by OMENANA, my (Igbo) religion & culture you have to belong to an umunna (Igbo family) to be indigenous to Igboland.   In the same vein I and no Igbo can ever regard your Adamawa State as his/her state of origin. In our (Igbo) religion/culture, we have an immutable belief that we have a special relationship with our land. We believe that an authentic burial of an Igbo is the one in Igboland.  Your Adamawa is many times bigger than any Igbo state, but as you can see no single Igbo, even a drunk one claims that he's indigenous to Adamawa. When we are there we see ourselves as strangers, who no matter the length of our stay in your state and anywhere else for that matter, must return home, either in life or after death. You respect your religion/culture sir. Please respect mine!

BURIALS: HOW THE IGBO HONOR THEIR DEAD.

BY OKECHUKWU ONONAEKE One key responsibility of the Igbo is to honor their dead. This responsibility is so dear to the Igbo and to the sovereign monarch of the Igbo, CHI UKWU because it is one favor the Igbo does to his fellow Igbo with out expecting compensation from the beneficiary, the Igbo dead. So the Igbo does everything to honor his/ her dead: father, mother, siblings, wife, husband, uncles, aunts, cousins etc. To honor the Igbo dead is the greatest thing that an Igbo can do for a fellow Igbo. Honoring the Igbo dead must be in keeping with the statutes, ordinances, laws and commandments of the Igbo King, CHI UKWU. Here are the ways the Igbo honor their dead: 1. Igbo mourn their dead. Igbo do not celebrate death even if it occurs at 150 years of age. 2. Igbo ensure that their dead is buried within 24 hours of death. This is to assure that their dead relations re-incarnates without any distortion of the body of the dead relations. Igbo are conscious of the fact that delaying the b...

HOW THE OSU LIVED HOLY LIVES

BY Okechukwu Ononaeke HOW THE OSU LIVED HOLY LIVES A lot of things have been written and said about the OSU. Most of what has been written about the OSU have been largely out of Ignorance, mischief or both. As the Igbo return to CHI UKWU, the one and only king of the Igbo, the truth about the OSU is finally coming out and causing discomfort to those who benefit from keeping the Igbo prostrate and divided.  Investigative reports conducted by IGBO NEWS has revealed the truth about the OSU. The OSU were like the biblical netinims. They were priestly assistants living very holy lives, serving CHI UKWU in his obis( CHI UKWU's sanctuaries). The wish of every Igbo is to serve CHI UKWU the rest of his/ her life. The OSU were thus privileged Igbo who were doing the work of CHI UKWU in his vineyards ( obis). The work that the OSU did for CHI UKWU were similar to the work that the Roman Catholic Rev. Fathers and Catholic seminarians do for the Catholic Church today. Are the Roman Catholic Reve...

MEET THE KING OF THE IGBO, CHI UKWU.

By Okechukwu Ononaeke Every people have a king that is overlord to them. That king is supreme to them and deserves total worship. The Igbo have only one King. He is supreme and overlord of all Igbo. He is the supreme monarch of the Igbo. His name is CHI UKWU and all Igbo owe allegiance to only CHI UKWU. He is the supreme lord. He is not human. He has no father, no mother, no brothers, no sisters, no children, no compatriots. He has no image. CHI UKWU is one and only and sovereign of the universe. CHI UKWU is the only one to whom the appellation, Eze or Igwe refers to. Only CHI UKWU is Eze or Igwe to the Igbo. The Igbo have other appellations to glorify CHI UKWU: Olisaburuwa, Olisabinigwe, Oseburuwa, Amaamaamachamacha, Ofutaobe etc. The Igbo attribute all glory to CHI UKWU and worship only him as G-D. The Igbo attribute their creation and survival to only their one and only King, CHI UKWU.

AN IGBO WOMAN CAN MARRY AN IGBO WOMAN

Remy Ilona A discussion about marriage, which the Igbos believe is the gateway to having children, in Igbo culture, will require writing volumes. An Igbo man must marry a woman or women: preferably fellow Igbos. An Igbo woman can marry an Igbo woman. We will discuss how this can happen, and why it can happen. If an Igbo woman is unable to conceive and produce children with her husband or in a situation where she is unable to bear a male child, Omenana (Igbo culture) allows her to get a wife. This wife will have sexual relations with her husband, and if she conceives, the child will be the child of the woman who married her and of course that of the husband and not denying the biological mother of all her rights as the biological mother of the child. Such a child will call the woman “Mama nnukwu” and the biological mother “Mama obele” meaning big mummy and small mummy. Igbo people, male and female, do not know how to be happy if they do not have children. They crave for children, becaus...

How Igbo Americans by DNA are acquiring Igbo citizenship

Image
By Francis Duru and Okechukwu Ononaeke Following his quest to know his African Tribal origins, U.S Hollywood star Forrest Whitaker traced his African roots to Igbo land using DNA. Subsequently he adopted  a community in Imo State as his homeland. The Umunna of the community granted him Igbo citizenship following due process. The community held a ritual feast (oriko) to formerly welcome him back home. In one of the two pictures, Whitaker dances to the traditional drums with his Friend Danny Glover who accompanied him to the feast. More Igbo Americans are following this same due process that is beyond dispute by any Igbo and complies with Omenala Igbo, the Igbo supreme law

Why the Igbo is returning Igbo polygamy

By Okechukwu Ononaeke There is no doubt that Omenala is returning the Igbo to its original marriage system of a blend of Igbo polygamy and monogamy. The question on the lips of those who don't understand is why? In the Igbo society, CHI UKWU decrees that the only right way for an adult Igbo to engage in sex is via marriage. Any sex by an Igbo outside the institution of marriage is aru, a great offense against CHI UKWU. Celibacy is also not acceptable to CHI UKWU, the G-D of the Igbo and sovereign of the universe. Igbo polygamy ensures that every Igbo woman desirous of marriage is guaranteed of a quality Igbo partner on time. Single Parenthood, prostitution, keeping of sidechiks/ concubines are also frowned at by Omenala, the Igbo grundnorm. With the re-mainstreaming of Igbo polygamy by the Igbo, the Igbo society can be assured of more stable marriage system with zero- hugging divorce rates among the Igbo. The age at which Igbo men and women marry in the first instance are exp...

The Igbo people: Feminists who accuse themselves of being patriachists.

By Remy Ilona    Igbo people (Hebrews) are so protective of woman that they could be called a nation of feminists. There are many dangerous and difficult tasks Igbos engage in; among them: planting of yams which is tedious. Climbing of trees is another. Fighting wars which they would do their utmost to avoid is also considered dangerous. Many other things humans must do, including carrying children in the womb are considered dangerous, risky, and difficult. The last; carrying children and birthing them is the only one that this ethnic group that is patrilineal in tradition allow women to undertake traditionally. Trading, which they informally call buying and selling, and which the policies of the Nigerian government forced these Israelites to engage in due to marginalization and oppression is considered difficult, because traditionally an Igbo works as a servant (nwa boy) for 7 years during which he learns how to buy and sell, and general discipline. Most Igbo families h...
