Igbos DO NOT link Omenala to any INDIVIDUAL  as the originator BECAUSE it is based on the NATIONAL REVELATION at Sinai:

The COVENANT (igbandu) is between G-d and  those Israelites who were physically present at Sinai that FATEFUL day and also those who were ABSENT. These are very frightening words because it also means those Israelites to be born at ALL times were already entangled in the covenant. 

Our OMENALA is not based on the vision, dream or hallucination of an individual BUT a NATIONAL revelation. You will NOT read anywhere that it was STARTED by one man or inspired by one man. This puts it in a special class. Ka uche unu di ya biko.
